Sure, here's a recipe for focaccia!
Ingredients:
- 500g strong bread flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 7g sachet of fast-action yeast
- 400ml lukewarm water
- 100ml olive oil
- sea salt and black pepper
- 1 tbsp dried rosemary (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and yeast.
Step 2. Add in the lukewarm water and olive oil, and mix everything together to form a dough.
Step 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Step 4. Place the dough into a clean, oiled bowl, cover with cling film, and leave in a warm place for about an hour, or until it has doubled in size.
Step 5. Preheat your oven to 220°C/425°F/Gas Mark 7.
Step 6. Grease a baking tray with olive oil and sprinkle some flour on top.
Step 7. Gently tip the dough out of the bowl and onto the baking tray.
Step 8. Use your fingers to press the dough out to fill the baking tray.
Step 9. Drizzle some more olive oil over the top of the dough, and sprinkle with sea salt, black pepper, and dried rosemary (if using).
Step 10. Bake the focaccia in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until it is golden brown on top.
Step 11. Remove from the oven, and leave to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
