Homemade whipped cream recipe

 Here is a recipe for homemade whipped cream:




Ingredients:


  • 1 cup heavy cream (cold)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)


Instructions:


1. Place the mixing bowl and whisk attachment in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes before starting to make the whipped cream.


2. Once chilled, take the bowl and whisk out of the freezer and add the cold heavy cream to the bowl.


3. Start whisking the cream on medium speed until it begins to thicken.


4. Add in the sugar and continue whisking until soft peaks form.


5. Add vanilla extract (optional) and continue whisking until the peaks become firm.


6. Be careful not to overwhip the cream or it will turn into butter.


7. Once finished, store the whipped cream in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
