Recipe for Vanilla Bundt Cake

Ingredients:


1. 2 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2. 2 teaspoons baking powder

3. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

4. 1/2 teaspoon salt

5. 1 and 3/4 cups granulated sugar

6. 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

7. 4 large eggs, at room temperature

8. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

9. 1 cup sour cream, at room temperature


Instructions:


  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 10-inch Bundt cake pan with butter or cooking spray.

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  • Beat in the vanilla extract.

  • Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture in 3 additions, alternating with the sour cream, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.

  • Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

  • Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • Once the cake has cooled, dust it with powdered sugar or serve it with your favorite frosting or glaze.
